This tour takes you on a journey through Royal Rajasthan aboard "Palace on Wheels" Maharaja's saloon. The 7 days /07 Nights train ride passes through some of the most colorful states of Rajasthan such as Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Swai Madhopur, Chittaurgarh, Udaipur, Bharatpur and also through Agra the wonderful Taj Mahal.It will be one of the most memorable trip where will you travel like a 'Maharaja' or 'Maharani'. The Palace on Wheels has 14 air-conditioned coaches and each consist of four cabins with double or twin beds. Exquisite Rajasthani decors, attached bathroom with shower, running hot and cold water, wardrobes, piped music and of course a personal attendant to pamper you throughout this Royal Journey. The train is fully carpeted and has lounge to relax, libarary, bar, two dining areas serving both Indian and Continental cuisines. The Palace on Wheels package includes all three meals, conducted sightseeing tours in deluxe motorcoaches, entrance free for monuments and palaces and cultural show. Your fun does not end here! Day 01: (MON) Delhi
Arrive Delhi late in the evening. Welcome and assistance upon arrival at the airport. Later transfer to hotel.
Day 02: (TUE) Delhi
Morning free to relax and adjust to the time zone. Afternoon city tour of Old and New Delhi. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: (WED) Delhi - Jaipur
Morning free. Afternoon transfer to station to board "Palace on Wheels" train at 1600 hours (4:00 PM) from Delhi Railway Station. The train departs for Jaipur At 1830 hours (6:30 PM). Dinner and overnight on board the train.
Day 04: (THU) Jaipur - Jaisalmer
Arrive Jaipur at midnight (2:00 AM).After Breakfast on board the train, proceed for city tour of Jaipur visiting Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Forts and Palaces. Lunch at the Hotel. Depart for Jaisalmer at 1930 hours (7:30 PM). Dinner and overnight on board the train.
Day 05: (FRI) Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
Arrive Jaisalmer at 0815 hours (8:15 AM). After breakfast on board the train, proceed for city tour of Jaisalmer visit the forts, palaces. After city tour return to Palace On Wheels train for lunch. After lunch depart for Sand Dunes & Camel ride .After camel ride return to Palace On Wheels train. Dinner and cultural show at a local restaurant. Depart for Jodhpur at 2300 hours (11:00 PM).Dinner and overnight on board the train.
Day 06: (SAT) Jodhpur - Sawai Madhopur
Arrive Jodhpur at 0700 hours (7:00 AM) . After Breakfast on board the train ,Proceed for city tour of Jodhpur visit Meharangarh Fort, royal cenotaphas and Jaswant Thada. Lunch at Umaid Bhavan Palace. Depart for Swai Madhopur at 1530 hours (3:30 PM). Dinner and overnight on board the train.Day 07: (SUN) Sawai Madhopur - Chittaurgarh
Arrive Sawaimadhopur at 0400 hours (4:00 AM). After breakfast on board the train, proceed for visit Ranthambhore for jungle safari tour to see the Royal Bengal tiger and other wild animals in their natural habitat. Depart for Chittaurgarh at 1030 hours (10:30 AM). Lunch on board the train. Upon arrival at 1600 hours(4:00PM ) visit the Chittaurgarh Fort full of tales of valour and bravery of the Rajput kings. Dinner and overnight stay on board the train.
Day 08: (MON) Chittaurgarh - Udaipur - Chittaurgarh - Bharatpur
After breakfast drive to Udaipur by Luxury Coach for full day city tour of Udaipur -The city of romance, visit its palaces, gardens, temples and forts. lunch at Lake Palace hotel.
The luxury coach then takes you back to the Palace on Wheels at Chittaurgarh, thus winding up a day full of delights.Depart for Bharatpur at 20:00 hours (8:00 PM). Dinner and overnight on board the train.
Day 09: (TUE) Bharatpur - Agra - Delhi
Arrive Bhartpur at 0630 hour (6:30 AM), After breakfast on board the train visit Bharatpur Bird sanctuary home to 300 species of birds and Fatehpur Sikri. Depart for Agra at 1145 hours ( 11:45 AM). Lunch on board the train.Upon arrival at 1430 hours(2:30PM) ,proceed for city tour of the world famous Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Dinner at Taj Khema. Depart for Delhi at 2300 hours (11:00 PM). Overnight on board the train.
Day 10: (WED) Delhi
Arrive Delhi at 0600 hours. After breakfast on board the train "Palace on Wheels train tours ends. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Delhi. Rest of the day free.
Day 11: (THU) Delhi - Khajuraho
After breakfast at the hotel transfer to airport for flight to Khajurhao. Arrive Khajuraho and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit the Eastern & Western Group of temples. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: (FRI) Khajuraho - Varanasi
After breakfast at the hotel transfer transfer to airport for flight to Varanasi. Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel.
Varanasi -This sacred city over two thousand years old is the holiest city of the Hindus and a great center of learning and civilization. It has now more than 200 temples and shrines. Visit Bharat Mata temple, Durga temple, Banaras Hindu University etc. Drive past the bazaars, brocades & famous Banarasi silk sari shops.
Afternoon city tour of Sarnath- A place where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after attaining the enlightenment under a Banyan tree. It is a holy place for the Buddhist and thousand of Buddhist pilgrims visit Sarnath from all over the world. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: (SAT) Varanasi - Delhi
Early morning sunrise boat cruise over holy river Ganges will take you to is famous bathing ghats where hundreds of pilgrims can be seen cleansing their souls by taking a holy dip. Also visit its burning ghats where bodies are cremated after performing the last rites according to ancient Hindu customs. Later transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: (SUN) Delhi - Onward Destination
Transfer to airport for flight to your onward destination./ Optional extension tour.
